AGC Glass Europe is proud to announce a new collaboration with Eastman to integrate the innovative Saflex™ LiteCarbon™ Clear interlayer into its Low-Carbon Stratobel laminated safety glass.

This collaboration underscores the growing interest in and recognized value of low-carbon products, which helps industries reduce their carbon footprint and support their sustainability objectives.

The integration of Eastman's Saflex™ LiteCarbon™ Clear interlayer into AGC's Low-Carbon Stratobel Glass represents a significant step forward in reducing the embodied carbon of laminated glass products.

This combined solution offers window manufacturers a high-performance sustainable option that does not compromise on quality or safety. The product ensures excellent transparency and meets stringent safety standards, making it suitable for residential windows and a wide range of applications.

Low-Carbon Stratobel Glass offers a reduced Global Warming Potential
Saflex™ LiteCarbon™ Clear is a 0.76 mm PVB interlayer with a reduced Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 2.4 kg CO2 eq/m² (1). This aligns perfectly with AGC's Low-Carbon Glass, which features a GWP of 5.5 kg CO2 eq/m² for 4 mm float glass (2). Together, these components create an ideal synergy, offering an option going further in the reduction of the carbon footprint of laminated glass solutions.

As the construction industry continues to prioritize carbon emissions reduction, this initiative provides a timely and effective solution for glazing manufacturers seeking to minimize their impact on climate change while maintaining high standards of performance and safety.
