AkzoNobel has gained BREEAM certification for its new headquarters. The company, a leader in the field of paint, coatings and chemical products, wanted to focus on sustainability and reduce the impact on the environment when building its new offices and so chose to coat its façade with Cradle to Cradle CertifiedTM Bronze Thermobel glass from AGC.

With its sloping tower of curved glass, the building has a dynamic shape that guarantees maximum transparency.

The base is made of Thermobel Stopray Vision-60. Most of the building is covered by a double-skin glass façade made of Thermobel Energy N, which provides ideal thermal insulation in winter. As the cavity between the two skins is properly ventilated, this façade removes heat in summer and makes it easy to open the windows, without the annoyance of wind and drafts.

The result is fantastic and AGC is proud to have contributed to a project dedicated to the sustainability and advancement of innovative technologies.
